Joseph L DeFrancisci
Joe DeFrancisci began his career in 1975 as an apprentice mechanic and machinery installer at DEMACO. During his tenure at DEMACO, Joe served as Production Supervisor, Plant Manager, National Sales Manager, Director of Marketing, Vice President of Operations & Engineering, Chief Operations Officer. After over 20 years at DEMACO, Joe left DEMACO in 1996 to build his own pasta factory.

Working with pasta industry legend Robert Ronzoni, Joe wrote a business plan, raised 40 million dollars and built a state of the art pasta factory adjacent to the General Mills Mill in Great Falls Montana. Pasta Montana was heralded as one of the most technically advanced pasta manufacturing facilities in North America and received the gold medal for best pasta made in North America by the American Culinary Institute. After Pasta Montana, Joe became a partner at The Highwood Group LLP, a management consulting firm specializing in the food and beverage industry. At The Highwood Group, Joe served as interim Chief Operating Officer for Costa Macaroni and on the Board of Directors of Timeless Foods, an organic food company.

A recognized expert in pasta manufacturing, Joe authored the article Basic of pasta extrusion systems in the February 2003 Technica Molitoria International.

He earned a BS in Industrial Technology Education from the State University of New York and is an alumnus of the Advanced Executive Program of the Kellogg Graduate School of Management - Northwestern University. In addition to belonging to various professional and alumni organizations, he serves on the Advisory Board of Univedant Corporation, a Chicago-based advanced engineering firm.

Leonard DeFrancisci
Leonard DeFrancisci served as operations manager of Howden’s “Plant of the Future” concept, coordinating and leading the company’s efforts to implement lean manufacturing and self directed work teams. Upon successful construction of the plant, DEMACO moved all of its manufacturing to the new facility in Melbourne, FL and expanded its operations there. Len led many of DEMACO’s manufacturing improvement initiatives and built some of DEMACO’s most complex projects.

Leonard DeFrancisci currently works for the sounding rockets program at NASA and is a Colonel in the Marine Corps Reserves. He earned a BA in Business from Lake Forest College, MS in Engineering Management from Florida Institute of Technology and MA in National Defense and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College

Joseph Petruzziello
Joe Petruzziello began his career at DEMACO in 1981 in operations management. Joe served in various capacities within DEMACO’s supply chain organization until the company was sold in 2005.

Joe holds a BS in Economics from Syracuse University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from New York Institute of Technology.
